2013 Chevrolet Malibu to Debut at Auto Shanghai 2011

General Motors and its joint ventures announced today that they will display more than 25 production and concept vehicles under their growing portfolio of brands at Auto Shanghai 2011, which opens towards the public on April 21.

“General Motors is proud to be taking part in this year’s leading auto show in China,” said Kevin Wale, President and Managing Director from the GM China Group. “We are introducing a range of compelling designs and new products as well as our latest technology for future years. This will give the people of China a good indication of where GM is headed within our company’s largest global market.”

Shanghai GM will be showing on its stand a range of Buick, Chevrolet and Cadillac models under the theme of “Creative Leadership and a Green Future.” Making its global debut will be the new Chevrolet Malibu, a mid size sedan which will simultaneously be introduced on Chevrolet’s Face book page. Auto Shanghai 2011 will even begin to see the global premiere of the Buick Envision SUV concept vehicle. Among the services that’ll be making their China premiere on the Shanghai GM stand are the Cadillac CTS Coupe and the all-new Chevrolet Captive SUV.

SAIC-GM-Wuling is going to be showing for the first time at a motor show the very first model from its new Baojun passenger vehicle brand. The Baojun 630 will give the audience a preview of things to range from company that has been famous for its Wuling mini-commercial vehicle brand.

Also making its national debut will be a new pickup from FAW-GM, GM’s light duty truck joint venture. The locally developed model will be built at FAW-GM’s new plant in Changchun.

Shanghai on star is going to be participating in Auto Shanghai 2011 as well. It will announce new on-board telematics services that will become available for its growing rapidly roster of subscribers across the nation.

Auto Shanghai 2011 runs from April 21-28 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center.
